Andi with cup of coffee in mug saying "home"

Morning all! Another lovely sunny day to view through the window (really must clean it) and I have a new view to admire. This quite time is a time of house or self improvement for many, even here there has been cleaning going on (although [not] clearly not including my window) and so for the pipe fanciers among you I present my new view! Good, isn’t it? There’s slopes and everything, gravity can now have it’s wicked way with the water.

Andi’s view of next doors wall and pipework, with the top of Sm0ll car and slightly more loved Aloe Vera in the foreground

The sharper eyed will have spotted that it’s not Tiny Car outside the window, that’s the roof of Sm0ll Car. I think what happened was that when the big silver cyber machine finally went to the great scrap yard in the sky it’s spirit came back as two of the tiniest cars you’ve ever seen! Sm0ll Car is even smaller than Tiny Car if you can believe it.

So what’s been going on over the last week? Like everyone else in the world I have been coming to grips with life online. Today I’m going to be delivering our first Trans Awareness Online Training course to some of our newest volunteers. Contact the office for information on how to sign up for the next one. Courses are limited in number to allow all participants the opportunity to engage fully. Whilst the world is on hold we all know that life goes on and #GenderIdentityMatters and now, more than ever, it’s important to #BeKind.

Our first ever Chrysalis Volunteers Coffee morning was a fantastic success. It’s great to see all our volunteers from all over, just stopping by for a coffee and a chat. Celebrating all that is good about working from home bringing us together regardless of distance.

And today’s thank you goes to the counselling team and particularly to Steven who has been working really hard to make sure all our documentation is up to date and suitable for our new online counselling service.

Last Thursday brought the good news bunny too – our fantastic funders Tudor Trust have shown their faith in me and in Chrysalis again and have granted us funding for my salary for the next three years. Funding your charity was the first of my tasks and in remains my highest priority. We continue to apply for grants to keep Chrysalis secure in the future and I can’t wait to be able to promote our London marathon runner to you too.

Select Chrysalis as your charity of choice and add Give as You Live to your browser

And finally here’s your weekly Unimpressed Cat photo, she’s really not convinced about having humans underfoot all the time
