The last couple of weeks have been ‘interesting’. I have been simultaneously developing our facilitation training, helping keep the ongoing support we offer running, organising support for new sign ups and setting up the exciting new online talks we are providing from next month!
Chrysalis will be writing to the MPs across Hampshire and Dorset, inviting them to speak to us to find out more about lived experiences, using our data and the knowledge we have from 15 years of supporting trans people, to find out more about what it is to be trans in the UK. You can do the same.
If you want to write to your local MP about the recent news of the intended reform of the Gender Recognition Act, you can download our template on this page.
Another great drop in this week, lots of chatting about all sorts of things from hair removal to voice coaching and many other things, some trans-related others not. Next week the theme will be show and tell – an opportunity to show off what we’ve made, done, or treated ourselves to, or our favourite mug or pet.
After another busy week in the (home) office, it was wonderful to have the drop in for group members, this week the theme was ‘party’ and we had several takes on what that might be for people!
On Thursday 9th April we held the first Chrysalis Volunteer Virtual Coffee Morning, which was a great success. Tea bickies were a plenty and great conversation ranged from Unicycles to positive mental attitude.
We put the world to rights without mentioning C-19 once… Well maybe only slightly 🤫 (more…)
