Morning all, another week in the house begins, after another weekend of dancing in the living room and so I thought it was about time I started talking about all the ways that Chrysalis has developed over the last few weeks.
Stand ready for some stats
Chrysalis exists to break down the barriers of isolation, to enable people to make connections, to feel free to be authentic and to explore what that authenticity means. Since the 18th March we have been working on how to bring our group members all the benefits of Chrysalis into their virtual worlds.

This week I would like to talk about sports supporter raising money for Chrysalis including London Marathon runner Amy , Paeton and Chris and our trustee Scott as they cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats, our our incredible volunteers such as Olly providing one-to-one chats to keep people connected, and what I am involved with.
On Thursday 9th April we held the first Chrysalis Volunteer Virtual Coffee Morning, which was a great success. Tea bickies were a plenty and great conversation ranged from Unicycles to positive mental attitude.

Great news everyone, on Friday Chrysalis officially got online with our first online support group. We had six attendees (and a few teething troubles) but all involved agreed it was worthwhile and worth pursuing. Members attending told us that “I missed the groups so much” and “thank you for doing this” and we all agreed that around five people for an hour seemed about right.
Those six attending were each given the space to talk about what had been going on for them, respond supportively to each other
No one could have believed in the last few days of February that within a month Chrysalis would have all our support services online, but thanks to the hard work of all our facilitators and especially Maximillian, Julie and Steph I am so very proud to tell you that the first ever online Chrysalis support group ran on Friday evening and more are planned soon.
