Description

Join us at Chrysalis’ 3rd annual conference and find out why Gender Identity Matters to you and your business in 2020

Chrysalis has supported trans and questioning people, their families and friends since 2005 and we have watched the world change dramatically and for the better. Now the word is out there, it’s OK to be trans and many more of your friends, colleagues and customers have started to feel secure enough to come out. How can you support them? How can you show that you are an ally, that you believe in the power of authenticity and the importance of inclusion?

All the questions and yet the answers can be hard to find.

Attendees at #GenderIdentityMatters2020 will get to hear from a wide range of speakers: those who have accessed our services; those who develop and run Chrysalis and other support groups and services; and those who have become great trans allies over the years both professionally and personally.

Hear about the challenges met and overcome by other employers. Meet people for whom being trans has simply become an aspect of their whole self. Ask questions and find out how other people made the transition from other to ally.

With keynote speeches from Joanne Lockwood – international public speaker and diversity champion on cultivating a culture of inclusion and belonging; and Sophie Labelle – renowned artist, novelist and Chrysalis Patron on the importance of representation, authenticity, and acceptance guests will leave with tools to apply immediately to their own organisations to empower colleagues to bring their whole selves to work.

If you do not want to appear in any photos or video, please notify a member of Chrysalis staff when you arrive where you will be provided with an additional yellow lanyard.

If you want to get involved as a volunteer, sponsor or to find out more about promoting your organisation at the conference then contact info@chrysalisgim.org.uk

Thanks to the generosity of our key sponsor Bournemouth University there is no cost for attendance so please consider giving generously on the day to support Chrysalis and the essential work we do so people can find out more about us. www.chrysalisgim.org.uk
